Just had a call from this number (6.50pm). I get several of these dodgy calls a day - usually early evening, after 4pm - so now I no longer pick up the phone unless I know who is calling. If it is a genuine caller, they ll leave a message and I will call them back. All 0843 numbers appear to belong to scammers/spammers.

My phone rang for only half a ring and then went dead.
A Google search indicates that the number, if genuine, belongs to a taxi company in Stoke-on-Trent.
When you answer there is an automated message stating you are involved in a fraud case with HMRC and to call a number given. Don't!
