Unsolicited call. The caller claimed to be my policy advisor. I asked what company and what policy. All I got in response was "i'm your policy advisor". I hung up. 15 second call. Definite scam. I ve had several phone calls from this number over the last few weeks. Indian man, tries to get you to confirm your name and address, your postcode, age etc which I have always refused. Then asks about the brand of washing machine you are using, Is it Hotpoint, is it Indesit etc, trying to lead you into saying "YES". jennifer from bt openreach called to tell me there was a virus on my hub stopping me getting my full speeds .asked for name address phon number and bank details as fee needed to be paid .strangely when i advised her i had no internet or hub the call ended ;) .are people really falling for this scam still in 2020?
