It's a scam. The number text me saying I needed to pay a £2.99 fee for a Royal Mail Delivery or "action would be taken". It makes quite literally zero sense given Royal Mail doesn't text and you don't pay for redelivery or additional costs.

Fraud/Scam. They sent a text claiming to be from HSBC (I'm not with them) about a suspect transaction, with a link to a no-doubt bogus page. I took the liberty of texting back, conveying the sincere wish that they choke.
Got a text from this number. Pertaining to be for The Royal Mail informing me there was an excess charge of £2.99 on some parcel for me. Obviously a scam as; 1) Royal Mail don't have my mobile number. 2) Not expecting any parcels. 3) the link to use to pay the excess fee is bogus.

Caller said they were calling about a recent car accident. I have had no accidents. When I asked who they were, they did not answer. When I asked them to remove my number from their database and stop calling, they put the phone down. Number listed as coming from Russia. Be careful people.

This is a scam. Number repeatedly calls, leaving broken voicemail message, starting: "...county courthouse" and inviting you to call back. On returning the call the individual answering identified themselves as HMRC and proceeded to ask for personal details. When I said I wasn't prepared to give any personal details over the phone, they told me to "get lost" and hung up. Be wary out there folks!
