SCAM - Unsolicited recorded messaged from National Insurance Contribution Society stating that my NI number had been used fraudulently near the Welsh border and looking to action against me. Dial 1 to speak to an investigator.
I received a text from this number (pretending to be Cross Street Health Centre) saying that I needed to book a COVID-19 vaccination, I clicked on the link provided in the text message and it took me to what was clearly a fake website!
SCAM/fraud. Two calls from 'Amazon' one saying you for renewal of prime to cancel press one. Second about two hours later also Amazon your order is accepted you will be charged £300 if this is incorrect press one. Both calls Manchester area pre recorded American voice.
Annoying more than anything else.
SCAM - a recorded message supposedly from HMRC saying I owe tax and I will be arrested if I don't ring back.
Cor blimey officer, you have got me bang to rights. Do people actually fall for these scams? Looks like the call was made from a shop unit in Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow which, as everyone knows, is where HMRC operate from, not. Number was probably spoofed.
