Fraud - tell you that HMRC have issued a warrant for your arrest and to press 1 then they leave the connection open at their end and charge you premium rates for the call. Please don't answer - people have lost up to £300 pressing 1 and then they continually try you on different numbers every day after this. This should have been stopped long ago by the authorities - it's a disgrace that it hasn't been.

The post office website does not end in .com and text message communication from the post office does not come from a standard mobile number- I think.
SCAM. This # called and my phone indicated that it was an international call but looking it up it on the internet it appears to have come from the same area in Manchester that a lot of calls are coming from. My # seems to have got on some hacked list that has gone to every scammer.
This time the message did not say who it was but said to press a key number if I wanted to cancel a subsciption of £9.99. I don't recognise the caller's number or a subscription of that amount.
Fraud - Yet another call, clearly from some contact/scamming centre in India. When I answered they simply hung up. This is the 3rd such call in the last two days and quite frankly I'm getting a little sick of it. This is a new line and only one person has this number, we literally never use it, so unless that one person who does have the number is calling I can almost guarantee its a scam of some sort. Be aware, tell them nothing give them no information.
He said he was from nationwide credit card, but didn't say which one wanted my post code and DOB and to confirm phone number plus land line also wanted to know if i had my credit card on me and the last 4 digits of my phone line banking number.
