Call went unanswered as number not recognised, but pre recorded message left purporting to be from officer of HMRC and threatening issue of arrest warrant for immediate arrest if option 1 not selected. Could be threatening/scam to vulnerable person
09/12/20 This number rang us this morning at 11.25am and left a threatening-sounding message to contact their executive about loss of our internet connection. Our internet provider would not contact us this way.
This number called to say my National Insurance number had been compromised. When selecting option 1, I was spoken to by an Indian sounding gentleman who ended the call when I asked why I was being contacted by a mobile number rather than HMRC.
SCAM I've had 3 calls this week all starting 07429412 which is odd as near the same as my number. But I answered it today and automated message saying my national insurance number has been compromised for fraud and I need to speak to an advisor. I hung up straight away as very similar to the tax fraud calls I've received loads off. This has to be sorted as becoming more and more now and getting fed up with these calls.
Indian accent, talking about problems with WiFi and asking to install remote access software on phone or PC such as QuickSupport. Often targeting older people without much technical skills. Fortunately my mum has me for her support
The telephone number ends in 659 and somewhere north of Manchester/
Very very annoying - all that I heard before deleting was "having a go" clearly yet another try to scam which the police do absolutely nothing about in this totally failed uk run by an utter cretin called Boris!
