SCAM: yet another caller from the same area as lots of other scammers with very similar numbers. They let the phone ring for a few rings and shut the line whilst leaving no message - presumably so that you ring them back. Don't be tempted!
This number rang me (three days running of numbers beginning 07919 10XXXX have called and rung off when I answered, so I didn't answer this one; on ringing them back, the call fails is terminated without ringing the other party. Spam/Scam, whatever it is, I don't want it.
The numbers that have rung me this week are: 07919 106527, 07919 104384 and today's: 07919 104407.
Fraud - Yet another call, clearly from some contact/scamming centre in India. When I answered they simply hung up. This is the 3rd such call in the last two days and quite frankly I'm getting a little sick of it. This is a new line and only one person has this number, we literally never use it, so unless that one person who does have the number is calling I can almost guarantee its a scam of some sort. Be aware, tell them nothing give them no information.
Erica Smith apparently calling from BT whilst I subscribe to another broadband/phone supplier and stated calls are being made abroad.
This person who spoke with an Asian accent wanted me to go onto my computer and type in something or other.
If this had been a really young or elderly person they may have fallen for this scam
