"I also got a message from this number asking if I wanted to continue receiving statements - I had previously gotten a text from my bank telling me that I would be getting this text message, so I hit the reply button and my phone warned me that if I continued I would be charged - I'm glad I was able to check and cancel the response! Looking back at both this and the original message, I can see that there is something that just doesn't seem right about it."

"I got message from NatWest, to Reply to this number, I did then panicked when it said I would be charged (did very quick) so I popped to the bank, they were unhelpful saying it was from them automated texts but nothing to do with them in branch and that I needed to contact head office phone number on debit card, so I did and they confirmed all ok...cost of text has come up on my mobile phone app as 0.08p so seems ok to be honest after all that panic"

Had them call around midday and it claimed they were following up on the government's free loft insulation. I think it is a computer-controlled call that responds to replies and from searches it may also be a cloned number. I hung up and call barred them.
