Received a call on my mobile at around 11.30am, and was told I had a refund via PPI from a credit card or loan. Had to ask me which one and from which bank. (Should know all this before calling me, how else would they know if I m owed anything?) Besides the point, I have never had a loan and the one credit card I had was from over 10 years ago and has been delt with a long time ago, so I know I m not owed anything. Accident that I apparently had. They had no info about what accident, when and what car it was "due to data protection laws" Yeah right.
This is a scammer, they claim to be from BT and they are going to disconnect your line and internet. As I am not with BT it is easy to know this is rubbish, but do try to keep them on the line as long as possible, since they are probably ringing from outside the UK (more expensive) and the (apparent) UK number is spoofed.
Nummer klingelt kurz an und legt auf. Sie wollen, dass du zurück rufst. Es ist eine Auslandsnummer, somit hohe Kosten. Nicht zurück rufen!
