They call and ask you for a one time payment to support a magazine to go into schools regarding bullying. ONCE. ONE TIME ONLY. You do not sign a contract, you do not enter into an agreement. They then persistently call you and ask you for more money as apparently you have entered into a contract. Scammers claiming to be calling about Govt funded roof lagging I've had fitted. Of course, I haven't!
Ask me to download and install a software to get back money lost in the past in a fraud. Surely a new fraud or scam.

SCAM Indian accent lady claiming to be from Virgin Media and going straight into a pitch on how they have noticed a router being slow. When challeneged for proof that they were who they claimed to be, she ended the call.

jennifer from bt openreach called to tell me there was a virus on my hub stopping me getting my full speeds .asked for name address phon number and bank details as fee needed to be paid .strangely when i advised her i had no internet or hub the call ended ;) .are people really falling for this scam still in 2020?
