The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Claims he is calling from a company called Assist Co, government backed, claiming that he can make me "debt free". When I asked how didn t he know that I may already be debt free, he said this is why he was calling! Told him I wasn t interested and added this number to my rejected calls list. Asked his where he got my details from, just kept on repeating that he was government backed. Cannot find any info relating to Assist Co on Google
