Got called on my mobile this morning. Didn't answer as I don't know the number.
This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. I'm in West Yorkshire and this is one of the increasing landline robo calls, originating from the south of England, I've been receiving in November 2020. Where it rings, there's no one there if I answer and if it goes to voice message, no message is left. Each time this happens I add the number to my phones blacklist so it's blocked if they try again.

Caller didn t introduce herself. Said I had been in a non-fault accident. Said that was incorrect so she said very in a very morose tone that I d be removed from database and hung up on me. Asked where she was calling from and she wouldn t answer nor would she say how she got my number. She didn t even know my name so how she thought I was in an accident I don t know.
