I got scammed like the last two posters on Saturday 26th June, but at Frankley on the M5 at around 11.30am. I reported it to West Midlands Police and to Action Fraud but have not had a follow up from either yet. Silver Vauxhall VIG2342, very convincing and grateful manner, same story about returning from Belgium and needing money to get back to Ireland and feed his children, same mobile number (07721 950844) - also introduced me to his children and happy to show me his ID. Had phone call from this company, said they were Provential Helpline or something along those lines. Some stupid girl apparently called Emma Macintosh trying to get details about an accident that never happened.
The registered message said there were from HMRC Revenue and Customs but when I press 1 to speak the operator the line dropped.
