Left a message saying they are from the Chinese Embassy and then rest of voice message is in Chinese. I receive at least one call a day from different mobile numbers illegally from the Chinese Embassy.
This was a call from Retail Trade Domestic Ltd, a legitimate caller regarding business matters. They are appliance suppliers in Basildon.

They disguise as a competition that you can win £1000 in vouchers then ask you for your sort code of your bank card under pretext that you won the draw and to redeem the money you are required to prove my identity. Called my 86 yo mum claiming to be "the company that services your domestic appliances and boiler", I interrupted the call, asked if they were British Gas, on being told no the caller was invited to go forth and multiply.
Tried to get security information from me. I asked for a direct phone number and he hung up. I called the credit card company and they said no one had called.

I recieved text from this number - claimed to be a Royal Mail message saying they were holding a parcel for me that had a surcharge - it asked me to use a link to arrange delivery. I went to the Royal mail tracking website which said it did not recognise the tracking number they gave. The phone number does not seem to be a Royal Mail number. I concluded it is a scam.
