I got a call from this number this afternoon saying I have some questions, I only need 20 seconds of your time so after another 15 seconds I said that s 20 seconds, bye. He rang straight back and said you think you re clever but I m cleverer than you and hung up. Daft or what?
Scam line. Calls are made from outside of the UK (Gold Coast), trying to get recipients to visit a scam website. The caller gets the recipient to perform some tasks on their PC, claiming that it is infected. If you ask for their number, they provide this one. If you call them back you are diverted to the caller in the Gold Coast. Do not call. Do not respond. Report this to the police.

Fraud. Said they were our local energy adviser and wanted to speak to the home owner. Suspiciously hung up when I asked what it was regarding.
Just had a call from this number 001-979-823-4079. Guy with poor english said the files on my Windows computer were infected by a download of infected files. Wanted to speak to the owner of the PC. After stringing him along for a while I told him to get lost as it was a scam. He hung up.
When call back automated saying this number is not valid check the number and dial again. Wtf.

Two calls received within 24 hours from male with Indian/Asian accent and female with American accent. Both told me that they had information that showed that I had had a no fault accident within the last 2 years. They were obviously reading from a script, refused to tell me where they had got my name, phone number or the accident information from. I told them what I thought of them and they hung up ! Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. I cannot make them stop so having to change my number. It been happening for months but I ignored them until it ramped up to daily.
