The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Scam trying to get money using a dead persons name and telephone number , heavy Indian accent didn’t sound professional but a week ago this same person rang about timeshare compensation , both times he asked for my husband by name , this time it was a debt my husband supposedly owed , B shit , but blocked both numbers and going to report to action fraud .
There was a lot of background noise and I couldn't hear properly. She had an Asian accent and said she was calling about my BT account. I then hung up believing it to be a scam call.
