I received a call from the number: 01274792327. They have said my computer is slow and needs to have software updated and will cost me ?250.00 The caller was acting to be windows when they was not. They was giving false names. I did not give any bank card details or any payment because this is a SCAM. Do not give any bank details, computer serial number, etc. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION OR THE INSTRUCTIONS OF CONNECTING YOUR SCREEN WITH THEIRS AS THEY WILL HACK YOU.
Two calls to my work phone from this number in the last week. I missed them both and no message was left. Google tells me the 0390 prefix is only used for fake numbers so putting this one in the annoying "spam" category.

Two calls received within 24 hours from male with Indian/Asian accent and female with American accent. Both told me that they had information that showed that I had had a no fault accident within the last 2 years. They were obviously reading from a script, refused to tell me where they had got my name, phone number or the accident information from. I told them what I thought of them and they hung up ! SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.
