Scam caller, states they are O2 offering me a discount on the services I have with them (I'm not even with O2). When questioned about how they got my number, became very hostile and rude. The line was also very poor, kept crackling.
Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from "The Phone House Company" and wanting to upgrade me to a new iPhone 11. I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.
I have been receiving two or three voice messages every day for the last three weeks it asks me to record a personal message for voice mail. if I let the message continue it runs through several options asking me to press a number, if I don't press any there is no delete message button it just keeps repeating over again. I cannot delete the message. I have blocked the caller to no effect, the messages still come through'. This is obviously a scam of some sort.

Awaiting callback from my GP when this call came. Male caller talked about a free medical emergency pendant, but implied that there was a paid membership. It increasingly sounded like a sales call and I couldn't really see how this related to my medical issue. He asked about my willingness to give a testimonial, talking about medical response times, peace of mind for family - I was becoming further mystified as to why I was being called. Suspicious.
