Scam or possible fraud, robotic caller announces that two recent unusual withdrawals have recently been made on my card , no specifics given and followed by Press 1 to speak to advisor.
I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. This number has been blocked. hmmm was it a scam or what. this was my experience, I hope my comments help.

It rang me twice. I withheld my number and rang back - got a recorded message then rock music. I suspect it's dodgy.

A 'heads-up' for yet another scam. Today so far we have had three calls on our land line, apparently from "banking security", an electronic type message as such, saying we have pending a £300 payment to Amazon and a £1100 international funds transfer, press 1 to pay or press 2 to cancel.

Said he was from O2 offering discounts or additional services for being a loyal customer, seemed polite enough, not incredibly pushy, had my name as well as seemingly some idea of my data usage. Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious.
