I had a letter from Bluestone Credit Management (or so I thought), the other day. I am now thinking it could be a scam letter because when I did some checking on the internet the phone number (01142 317 413), on the letter was completely different then the phone number given on Bluestone’s internet site. I am now going to forward a copy of the letter to HMRC to see if they can confirm if it is fake.

01420 563233 called using my name and was obviously from India area. He reckoned he was speaking from Amazon and wanted to talk about an iphone I had ordered at about £740 apparently. Fraud / Scam............... States they're from BT with alarming call that your router is faulty and that your internet line is public. Then starts to asks questions about the lights on router, who uses internet, even knew home address, at that point I hung up. I contacted BT - they do not have any such number listed in their network, also they confirmed no calls were made to line from themselves.
Said they were calling to offer free inspection of loft insulation because the Government has designated some of the old stuff as "irritant". I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour.
