Pretended they were TSB, and that someone tried to take out 250 to pay Apple, they put the transaction on hold and now need to generate me a new card, new sort code and new account number. Called him out on it by saying will visit branch to sort out as never heard of anyone changing a sort code before...I am guessing he would have asked me to verify all those details in order to change them. Scam, scam, scam as soon as I said that he hung up.

Received an uninvited call to my landline number, claiming to be conducting a health survey on behalf of the UK Government. The health questions didn t concern me but the depth of personal info requested did. I now regret giving so much info away (including name, address, age, no of adults and children), which I might not have done with an email survey.
