Said it was a return number to contact PayPal on a suspicious email. It is not the number for PayPal given on their website. The number on their website is a landline number not a mobile number.

They told me they were from Sky, our provider, and that there had been issues for the past 2 days which they were going to sort over the phone. I hung up and surprisingly he didn’t ring back!! Had a call yesterday also asking if hubby would like to upgrade his mobile. No. If I want sky I’ll ring them
I'm ex directory, and opted out of everything, but they still called me on a Saturday evening about a survey that I don't want to do.

I have answered then, I heard a sound, so automated system calling randomly, and when a person answers redirects to a call center. A person with likely a Indian answered after a few second and said hello and nothing else, then I hang up. very likely a scam.

Cold call. Chris. Friendly but persistent for a free survey for loft insulation saying the insulation we have could cause condensation and damp. Declined their invitation, looked online to find the number was from Reading, then at "Wokingham Borough Council News." to find "WARNINGS OF LOFT INSULATION SCAMMERS".

I asked if it was Vodafone and she said yes, then asked how much I was paying for my phone bill and what kind of device I had - all information she should have been able to gather from my account. Received an email from ' PAYPAL' about a fruadulent activity of £899.99 I contacted the above number and they sent me a 6 digit security number to my mobile and also told me my last 4 digits on my card !!! All seemed very legit..........UNTIL he told me he needed my full card number to put a stop on a further 12 transactions !!!
