Hi, I got a text from this number (+44 311 46) which had my name on it and it’s from someone who I don’t know and the number I don’t recognise. May be dangerous but more times than not I don’t answer numbers I don’t recognise.

just installed skype on pc and tried as a test to ring my own mobile phone number,this number came up with place name Ammanford,so possible skype made calls to mobile or home phone?

As mentioned - it s kwikfit calling with regards to a policy you have with them so not spam call. For a change!

well, for the first time ever, I blocked one of these annoying numbers - this one! and that was because i had to block them twice in a week (two different numbers, same town). thanks to the person who linked ICO in this thread, it was really quick.

It s a well known scam. Don t bother calling them back. The number might appear to be normal geographic but they might have rigged it to charge you premium rate.

Save it to Contacts and name it Nuisance or something more appropriate. When it rings you will know not to answer it. If you ignore it enough it will stop.

NEVER press ANY numbers when asked to do so by an unknown caller as you may be charged a very large call fee.

Call received 10.31 hours on Wednesday, 23rd June 2017. No message received, so I didn t pick up the phone. I don t recognise this number and don t want to speculate with no further information. Suspicious of those who will not leave a message and Dorset is a high scam area in the UK. Better to be cautious.

Call me professionally often unknown numbers so I went off even with this. Unfortunately, was launched directly. Even with further calls was always in the mood. So I let it ring and also left no message.

These cold callers are annoying. If its not PPi, or accident, or people trying to sell you fake goods, its money making scum trying to scam you. This is an India based recruitment company that pretend to be calling from London. They use a very cheap connection such as Skype and together with their heavy accents makes them understandably. They offer contracts well below market rate and under dodgy conditions. just tell them you don t deal with foreign agencies and hang up
