Answered the phone and upon saying "hello" the caller hung up. I have now blocked the number.

Apparently carphone warehouse from someone selling your data to them. Make a point of asking to speak with their legal dept, they won't pass you through but they'll remove you from the calling list pretty quickly.

Called twice. First time line was silent. The second time 'Chris' telling me he was from an energy efficiency agency and my loft insulation was insufficient. He said that I could have a fee government survey. I told him I had a had a loft conversion, and there was no such thing as a government insulation survey. He hung up. Definite scam.

SCAM Rang at 7.20am this morning. Claiming to be from tps. Could hardly understand her, obviously in a call centre. When I questioned WHY she was waking us up at 7.20am she put the phone down.

I received a call from a chap who called himself Brady, from the Nuisance Calls Prevention Service in Brighton at 6.05pm on 26th February 2015. He told me that he was aware that I was receiving a high ratio of nuisance calls and that he was going to stop them for me... all good up to this point! He then went on to say that for ?2 per month the calls would be stopped!!!! Definitely a scammer, but what worries me is that he knew my name and ex-directory telephone number.

Received text from 07413284805 saying "...records indicate you may be entitled to ?3750 for mis-sold insurance" and to text back or call this 0844 number. I ve never taken the insurance - its a scam. I wonder if there is an automated way to respond to their text and overload it... Just a thought.

I don’t know how or why this landline number would call me from Glasgow given tho I don’t have any relatives or engage with any business in that country.
Like last commenter yes they use a network of number local and otherwise in the hope u ll pick up the phone They have been phoning my house phone for months with an automated man message And now they have my mobile number Great!
