Admiral car insurance following up on an outstanding claim.
Keeps calling me and not known to me me hence my checking on this helpful site. I suspected tele sales.
SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.
Calls then hangs up when you answer.

I also stated we are registered with the TPS too. I asked who am I confirming it with and why do they need to know and he said I just need a yes or no he s from frontline savers and they are just doing a telephone verification. I said no and hungup

Silent call Answered this call, no-one there!!! A recorded kind of drumroll played. Held on for a few minutes, music played again, still no-one there so I hung up. Saw previous search on Google to say that this is HMRC but I don't think it is.
Yet another silent call!! Followed on after similar calls from 01706 and 01737 553315. No doubt yet another call centre scam to be avoided.
