Indian callers claim to be from windows.they will tell you your computer has been sending them error reports.they then ask you to turn your computer on and then tell you how to fix the problem.they get you to switch on remote access.then they control your computer and have access to all bank,credit card and password details that have been entered.NEVER DO THIS !!! please report to your local police

Had a call from an Indian man pretending to be a debt collector calling on behalf of an ex employer. But my ex employer did not know anything about this. Obviously a scam. Beware!

A missed call from the number 0141,558,7777, and would like to know what for.

Anonymous, that is interesting as these scammers have also used 0161 354 9847 (as well as many, many others).

Called me this afternoon, told them I had signed up with TMS, and have they checked this before ringing, so they did say that my name will be removed from there database.

This number called back in december, it plays a recorded message as soon as answered, its a message about urgent information about getting a free boiler replacement for those on...

Knew it must be a cold caller, but answered anyway. Timid newby on the other end said "Hello, am I speaking to Mr....." and then hung up when she realised she could pronounce my name. Hope the Obergruppenf?hrers she works for were listening in and fire her - thereby saving her soul...

My phone rang and when I answered there was no one there. I suspect the Talk Talk scam people.

These idiots keep phoning my dad saying he owes them money . Threating with court etc .Dad only deals with known companies and we have put a block on his card for tele payments . best thing if they keep on say send me a letter with details ( which they wont ) or as I did say yeah yaeh and put the phone down . pathetic sad little people that they are.

Electronic voice warned me that my TalkTalk internet would be disconected this evening and gave me the option to either press 1 to keep it or 2 to disconnect. Goodness knows what would have happened if I had pressed either number. I logged in to TalkTalk and of course there was no mention of a disconnection.

Caller claims to be from Openreach Titan telling us we are going to benefit from cheaper rates. When I asked for marketing material to be sent to me instead they went into panic overload! I believe this company to be cold calling with a view to trying to get you switch provider and possibly reduce your call costs.

Just coming back about the second number given in previous post - 002220 88199804. I asked the lady on the phone for the location of this number, she told me it was central London. Just to let you all know, Country code 002220 is Gambia!

Called 3 times this week so I called them from blocked number they said they were calling due to accident I d been in. I told them i don t own car or even have a licence (which is true) they said not even as a passenger, told them No. They apologised and said they update system. Not sure how though as my number was hidden. Cold callers beware

Indian women with family noise in background did not introduce herself and said "your computer department". Well we don t have a computer dept so told her to [email?protected] off. The people are no more than common thieves, but seem above the law.

Called twice, automated message to dial one to speak to an advisor, i didnt dial one and was then advised to urgently call them back, as i googled the number and read these comments, i did not call back as i do not have any debts or anything outstanding.

Callers already had information otherwise not publicly available, including number, current and past locations, etc.
