I received a call from 02039587974 telling me they are calling from London County Court and that I have had a tax fraud case against me. They asked if I was able to make a £1198.00 payment so prevent my car being seized and sending the police out, whilst I was on the phone they tried to convince me they are calling from London Central count and asked me to google the number and rang me from the same central London county court number to assure me. I received a call from this number with an automated message saying that this was regarding some important information about my account. They didn t even specify what kind of account nor did they ever identify the company they were calling from. Seems to me like they want to get people to react out of panic because of the word "account". I didn t return any calls or anything, so they kept pestering me and now they are blocked. The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account.
