This company keeps calling asking for Mrs Ball, who has never lived here, I bought this house before it was built, so I should know. Have also had a mobile number from the same company ringing, fortunately I was out. Both numbers now blocked.

They lead you to believe that they are calling for feedback on your order. They do not state that this is a sales call regarding extended warranty - which is exactly what they are doing. They make it seem that it is a fee-free service being offered and only mention the cost at the end. They offered me a warranty on 3 appliances for ?200 pounds a year but phrase it as this is only ?1.50 for your appliance. Very dubious sales tactics. I would not be remotely interested.
Called every day now from a number beginning 0208 xxxxxx. This number 0208 275 4022 today. So many scam calls now I let every call go to the answerphone and just use the mobile, this is so persistent that I called back from mobile. There was no connection, tried the other niumbers beginning 0208 received in the last 7 days - BT recording saying numbers unrecognised, Have no idea if this is a scammer or genuine - but if its genuine they are doing a poor job as you cant call back.

These cold callers are annoying. If its not PPi, or accident, or people trying to sell you fake goods, its money making scum trying to scam you. I was called this morning by a lady saying that she is from the pension office. She asked whether I had private pensions and whether it would be possible that somebody would see me face to face to go through my private pensions. I asked her to write me an email, however she said they would not work like this. By this time I thanked her and said good bye. Not serious at all! Part of the ongoing automated call scams. When answering the call, there is a split second blimp where the automated answer kicks in. Not even a human on the other end. Someone needs to trace the number to the property which rang it and cut their lines.
