Rang up claiming to be carphone warehouse. I have never been with carphone warehouse and they seemed to know nothing bar my number. Silent call. Enough time for me to say "Hello" twice with a pause in between, then a buzz followed by disconnect. Sounds suspiciously like an auto dialler not connecting through to the operator at the other end, or a spoofed high cost return call scam. Either of these are not good!

Called yesterday trying to drum up business for UK Essentials. Possibly the same "Lady" (Based on accent) called again today asking for my wife, when politely asked what they wanted, initially guessed I was her husband, when asked again what they wanted, they told me they were asking the questions not me and that I should **** off before hanging up.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from.
