Supposedly from BT re my internet being cut off. Odd as I don t use BT.

This number area code sunderland/newcastle calls on a daily basis both mine and my husbands number. Never leave a message and always ring when I am at work so unable to answer.

I got a phone call from this number, as I did the 1471 to hear the number back. The man said his name was John and wanted to speak to my brother. He new his name and said he owed money and they wished to speak to him. My mother answered the call but wouldn t give up any details, but she kept asking them questions about who they were and why they were ringing. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION AWAY!! DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!

As identified by others, text message received indicating my mobile No had been awarded a 4GB Multimedia Player and Headphones. Presume it s a scam!

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. It claimed to be from Amazon, saying a large purchase had been made on my account. Press 1 for information. I put the phone down. On checking my Amazon account, all the purchases were correct. This was a scam

Calling me repeatedly immediately asking about the car accident I was in which doesn t exist then go on to ask if you have had any other accidents. Calls received despite being registered with TPS

went on a gov approved scheme some 2 years ago for a skills workshop, they keep ringing periodically, why? I dont know.

they called me on my mobile - which I never give out - so am so very curious there... and it looks like other sites too are confirming they are ringing re PPI. I did not answer it. maybe some day when I am bored (and on good form for an arguement) I will answer... and let you all know how it went.
