Cold-phoned us claiming to be current suppliers of ours, but I'd never heard their name before. Sounded a bit suspect.
Received today at 16.27 from: 07486 599 597 the following text message, which read, QUOTE: - hey mum I smashed my phone and I'm using a friends phone to msg you their phone is about to die can you whatsapp me on 07553 496 236
Call center its a debt call center. They use a local number, when you call back you will be redirected to a national number. Scam number do not pick up
Hung up when answering machine started
Some kind of telemarketing scam. Answered to silence, when they finally picked up it was clear form the background noise it was a call center of some kind... And they got my name wrong so its clear they d bought my details from somewhere else and copied them wrong. They claimed I d answered a survey recently, which I have not, and asked if I d do one again. Defiantely scammers of some kind.

I'm an individual counsellor and this person 'Jack' texted me during my Christmas holiday. He pretended to be a client at first, and I responded in case he was a potential client in need. He then attempted to sell me his "automated systems to attract more counselling clients". I hate spammers who prey on therapists' good natures, and who disrespect our vacation boundaries. Don't fall for this.
