Received a call threatening that I would face prison for tax evasion if I did not pay £3246 Said that I had not responded to a letter from HRMC sent on the 22 Jun. I stupidly called back, as I once missed a legitimate HMRC letter, and had to pay HRMC £1300 because individuals are legally accountable for their taxes, and missing a letter is not a valid excuse. Somehow I ended up with the below Called ID 020 7947 7772 on my phone, which is from the the government website: https://www.gov.uk/courts-t

I ve seen on comments elsewhere it s a PPI co. I ve received many calls a day for the last few weeks and ignored it. Yesterday I put the number on my block list, and today I got a voicemail message lasting 1:17 in length with no voice at all. This was at 6.30 in the evening. Extremely untrustworthy and unprofessional.
