Another Bank Security scam, usual thing, recorded message about 2 transactions on card (no card specified) and press 1 or 2 to deal with it. I spoke to Asian sounding chap in what sounded like Call centre, he insisted not a scam but was Visa security! These people need dealing with!!!!

SCAM erm it sent me a text with a link saying I was eligible for a covid grant ???? I’m a literal child. I think it’s a scam. I didn’t click the link. Heres the text “ GOVUK: Due to the new lockdown circumstances you are available for a COVID-19 grant of £277.59. To claim, please follow via: https://affirm-ukgov-grant.com”
While almost everyone with breath in their body knows how dodgy Barclays Bank has consistently been over the last 20 or so years but, these are most certainly criminals using fabricated assertions they are Barclays (Bangsters) Fraud Department. All and every search of all known Barclays telephone numbers confirms no such number is as these fraudsters state, Barclays Fraud Dept! We all know the types of rip-off, cheaters, liars and bangsters folks running Barclays but for once, these are nasty types as
Called me 09.48 7 Sep 21, when answered with my phone number, hug up. This is similar to a number of Scamming calls I am receiving of late both on my Landline and Mobile. Blocked it on BT.
Claimed to be sister company of my insurer and knew details of my vehicle and an accident I had. Stated that "the third party" had made a claim that they were suffering from discomfort. I told the caller that there was no third party, to which he replied "the vehicle you collided with" I explained that I had not collided with another vehicle and he immediately ended the call
A very friendly guy called me saying he was from Greenpeace after I had signed a Greenpeace petition. He sounded very informative and believable and after a friendly chat he asked me to donate a small amount to Greenpaece. I said I would, and then he started asking me for my bank details so that he could set up a monthly direct debit for me to donate £10 per month. I said I woulld not give details over the phone but he still insisted that I could. I stopped at that point & put down the phone.
SCAM / SPAM constant calls from this number and variations thereof.. i keep blocking them
