I have repeatedly asked them to remove me from their list and told them I am a TPS subscriber. They just ignore this and continue to pester. Based in South Africa, claimed to represent British Gas and Scottich power, it s the off shore call centre for a Wigan based company called Youthere Ltd, run by a guy called Nick Clarkson. Not a professional looking outfit at all, the main contact telephone number is a mobile but as they reUK based they should comply with TPS. Rang today 30 July 2014 said they were called Pension Watch based in South Africa though phone number is routed through this Manchester phone number. This same telephone number has been used for new boilers in the past. It s simply a call centre. They knew my name and address. I asked them how they knew I had a pension and they said it was via public database showing who pays into a private pension or receives one. They wanted to help me find out if my pension is giving me the best return. I told them I don t recall I did this, as I am careful what I clock on for this and I was in work and could not talk. Also could they remove my number from their database. They told me no! ..... They asked who I was to be answering the phone on behalf of someone. I asked for their name and a return number, he said goodbye... He could not hear them clearly. They stated they were asking id he wanted to switch is broadband to O2 or Vodaphone. He gave them some basic info before I came in and told him to end the call. He was flustered and after realising who was calling very angry. Throughout the whole call he was coughing something up and the connection was terrible. Sounded like a poorly thought out scam. Rubbish try scammers back to the drawing board.
