Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8435697xxx range... People did someone answer this number?

purporting to be from Windows Tech Dept. He knew my name. I said I had had a few calls like this and the police were investigating, they'd put a trace on my line! He didn't seem to understand at first and I then thought he would hang up but then he said "ok, have a nice day!!!!" Priceless.

This number is 100% legitimate as my car insurance is due. The thing is I contacted Aviva two weeks ago after accepting a quote from RAC which was £177 lower (yes you read that right). I told them "thank you very much" but wouldn't be re-insuring with them for 2018/2019. Surely they have put this on their records - unless it's the old scenario of one computer doesn't talk to another!
