SCAM. Yet another call from the same Manchester area which seems to be a major call scam area. Left no message as is typical of this sort of call from this area. The last call I had from this area with a similar number I answered and it was a recorded message telling me my NI number was going to be cancelled ...... I just closed the call as another scam. It is time telephone companies were held to account for all this misuse.

The person knew my name and address BUT the wrong postcode - it was way off! As I said it was the wrong postcode they asked me for mine which I refused to give and told them as they had the wrong information I was not the person they needed.

When called there is an American voice recorded message "Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line & you will be transferred to next available agent..." It then plays music while caller holds. Long wait times, if you get connected to the agent. This seems to be a growing trend with different numbers continually changing. Potential fraud or scam.

Received a call from this number tonight Nd on 2 other occasions in the last week. Scam. They pretend they are from EIST research centre that belong to the university of Liverpool. They asked for home address, phone numbers, emails and bank details. I gave them all wrong information. I phoned the university of Liverpool and they confirmed the number listed above is not their phone numbers.
The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account.
