Got a call from this number on my mobile. Said I d been in an accident. No I haven t. I reckon they just dial numbers at random. I say this because only my family know my mobile number and I won t give it out to ANYONE else. They didn t even know my name or where I was from or where the accident happened or what car I was supposed to have been driving or what time of day or the date it was supposed to have happened. Sounds rather similar to reports regarding other numbers in the 012027947xx range. Two calls over the Bank Holiday weekend. Recorded announcement regarding '100% Government grants' and if you answer some questions they'll check your eligability. Didn't stop to listen to what those questions would be.

Just received a call that it transpires was from 07791412013 - phone display said External Call, the number was not shown. Picked up and the line went dead. Dialled 1471 and this number was quoted. Tried dialling and it said the number was not recognised, therefore it was a spoofed number. Have to conclude the masking of the number means it was dangerous.

SCAM, voice generated message claiming to be from the HMRC and that a fraud case has been created against your name. If you don't press #1 a warrant will be issued for your arrest.. then it hangs up. Comedy SCAM but could worry the more venerable in society.

SCAM Calls every September asking me to buy books for a local school, then pay in May the following year. Called again this week asking to pay for the books, but hung up when I told them I didn't agree to the deal. Would have scammed me if I didn't remember saying no to their offer.
