SPAM I filled in an online form using my real number and a fake name. I got a call several weeks later asking for that name. seems that they fell for it.
I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Asked for my full name, which I queried as he was supposed to have my account records. However, not giving anything away, I did so but he misspelled everything. Called me 4 times within 10 minutes. After the first time I called back and they hung up, the 2nd and 3rd time I picked up and there was no one on the other end of the line.
Fraud pretended to be my bank after recent bank fraud, new my name, date of birth and address and card details. I have checked with my actual bank, this was not their staff.
