Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.
I was called yesterday from this phone number. I answered, and right away, a robot with female voice started to say something about HMRC, penalty, and I remembered that I saw some reviews from another phone numbers saying about this kind of calls, pretended to be from HMRC. So, after 16 seconds, I hung up. Be careful, this is another spam!!

The usual crap is then given re pressing 1 or 2 depending on how you want to proceed. Complete load of rubbish. I get regular calls from a variety of numbers all exactly the same. They want shooting! Suspecting fake supplier. We contacted him through a vacation rentals' booking platform to book a villa on the 5th of February in order to book for the 10th. On the 6th he writes to us: "Hello, unfortunately we can't accommodate you because the villa was double booked." This is so unfair! The availability back then allowed to book the property with no problems. He hasn't even refunded us the money. We suspect a scam owner.
