Fake scammer Supposed purveyor of a job and was supposed to talk me through details of a job - which was freelance - too good to be true. Came via an ‘agency’ 30 mins a day freelance - payment through wallet and an unbelievable sum of money Told them I wasn’t available until Tuesday next week and this Carlo guy (pic of a woman) kept texting me randomly in the interim asking me how I was - then sending pics of a computer screen the next day showing NY library - asking if I knew where he was - beware

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
