The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. This Indian fella rings me every couple of weeks always calls me by a different first name usually as far as it gets but today I stopped him and told him my first name then says he s from some fraud investigation unit asked how I was I said was ok till you rang and got my name wrong his reply was so what s your fuckin name repeated it about 5 times I said who you think your talking to and he put phone down tryd ringing the number but it s dead or something

Had a silent call to my ex-directory number today. Caller listened to what must have been a full minute to me saying "Hello, hello - Is there anyone there?" etc, before hanging up.

Got the same call last week at the same time, a woman asking me about the car accident I d had... I told her I was disabled and couldn t drive a car and that she should be ashamed of herself..obviously doesn t bother them! Do they actually get any business from these calls??

Unsolicited number, when I answered the caller hung up. I have now blocked this number.

Again one of those calls reporting that you have been involved in a car accident. I don t have a car... It seemed like a recorded message and caller hung up when I twice answered that I don t have a car.

This number has been "Spoofed" as there is no business in Neath where this number is based which is a lawyers etc. The number is being used by an overseas call centre to generate leads. DO NOT ANSWER OR DISCUSS AS THIS WILL ONLY MAKE IT WORSE!!!! You will get further calls as they pass your number on as a "live" number.
