They rang saying it was the Inland Revenue and that I had ignored letters and owed money and to press 1 to speak to their operative which I did not do. I blocked the number. I am a pensioner with heart problems so not impressed. It was a recorded message which sounded robotic - hope this helps and hope you can take it down. I've reported it to Inland Revenue via their on line form.

SCAM claimed to be calling from sky to sort out my router which is apparently faulty. I said we are not having problems with internet speed and would call myself if I have any concerns. He hung up.

SCAM: the caller claimed to be calling from Currys UK, offering a deal in an iPhone 14. The caller wanted my full details - obvious SCAM.

claimed to be from the security department (but didn't say of which bank/credit card company) claimed to have identified two probably fraudulent transactions. invited me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to someone. I pressed 2, but the line went dead. Looks to me very much like a scam.

Recorded message stating ridiculous withdrawal amounts had been made on my bank account and asking me to respond to cancel payments. Definitely not from my bank. Did not respond.

Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. He said that he was calling from London, when I asked him what the weather was like in India, and it would be set up today! Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.

Please watch out for these scumbags - they will also send a very official looking booklet claiming to be from Scottish Widows via e-mail A couple of guys calling themselves Tom & Jamie but when you try calling their number it doesn't connect They are very polite and professional on the phone If you send them any money you will never see it again - luckily we didn't get caught but it was close
