Said it was Amazon and that my Amazon Prime account was due to auto renew. I don’t have Amazon Prime!
Call received at 12.56 05 05 2023. On my Ex directory landline? I answered 'hello' that was immediately followed by 'a recorded message'? about banking security being breached (that's all) - but then they hung up. Number now blocked. Suggest call treated as 'Dangerous'!
Claims to be a HR Recruitment for a "Grafton Company" but will not specify which or the job they are hiring for. Further communication has netted me "a freelance role, £30-£40p/hr, flexible working time 60 -120 mins a day" and would like me to speak on Telegram and then WhatsApp for more information. Suspecting fake supplier. We contacted him through a vacation rentals' booking platform to book a villa on the 5th of February in order to book for the 10th. On the 6th he writes to us: "Hello, unfortunately we can't accommodate you because the villa was double booked." This is so unfair! The availability back then allowed to book the property with no problems. He hasn't even refunded us the money. We suspect a scam owner.

SCAM-Was at work. Don’t know anyone in Rotherham so ended call and blocked immediately. & from look of feedback glad I did. I am getting scam e mail attempts daily. Trying to tempt me under differing guises either offering loyalty points or entering me in competitions . Most say from Curry’s but now they are piggy backing e mail contacts of mine masquerading as them and trying to get me to click on links of photos they sent. They get around the block facility. Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
Answered the phone and it hung up straight away.
Says he is from citizens advice bureau and asked me if I owe a lot of debt. They mentioned that they had some paperwork about me and that I have debts which I owe. Sounded suspicious so I said No I don’t owe anything and then they said goodbye and hung up. I think it’s s scam to be honest.
