Silent call - rang early morni9ng and when I picked up there was no voice, nothing. I said hello, but there was no reply - said it again and then the line went dead. Few people use our landline these days, and only numbers we recognise (family and friends) so I suspect this was spam.
This was an automated call about a charge for Amazon Prime membership that had expired. I don't currently have an Amazon Prime membership, so this was almost certainly a scam call.
Recorded message purporting to be from bank in connection with suspicious transactions
Claimed to be from RBS credit card fraud in relation to an SMS NHS Covid phishing attempt on my phone. Appeared plausible and had some detailed info on my account transactions, however, when calling the number on back of my card, they said they had no record of a call from RBS. Suspect they were trying to obtain additional information to also obtain on line banking log in.
SPAM said was Voda phone and was cutting my phone off in 30min if I didn’t ring customer service, I’m with Tesco mobile!

SPAM Continuously calling about my "life insurance policy". I answered twice saying i was happy with the 2 policies i had and the man became irritated and forceful. Im no idiot and i told them to remove my number and to not call again. I still keep getting 2 to 3 calls a day which i declined then blocked the number. After that 2 more swansea numbers from the same place started to call

Awaiting callback from my GP when this call came. Male caller talked about a free medical emergency pendant, but implied that there was a paid membership. It increasingly sounded like a sales call and I couldn't really see how this related to my medical issue. He asked about my willingness to give a testimonial, talking about medical response times, peace of mind for family - I was becoming further mystified as to why I was being called. Suspicious.

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. Just had a call from this number, which my phone identified as potential fraud, so didn't answer it. Cheked on here and it looks like there has been a lot of activity from this number.
Had three calls from this number. Supposedly Amazon saying I owe £96 for an expired Prime membership. Never used Prime. Checked with Amazon who have never requested this fee.
I was called by this number to say someone was trying to purchase 200 on amazon and 700 on ebay. They first said my visa was being used I don't have a visa, then he said it could be a Mastercard? I asked who he was , he said 81 Newgate Street London, but I meant was he from my bank ?, he said he was from barclays , I do not have a barclays account.
