This is a well known scam, they ask for the passcode, then use the passcode to enter your account, lock you out, order new handsets etc. and leave you with the £1,500 bill for a new iPhone. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive.
