Scam call pretending to be from HM Revenue and Customs

Fraud/SCAM Pretends to be Revolut, they knew my name, home address and email address used with Revolut. Claimed my card ending NNNN was added to new device, tried to get more information. When I asked how do I know they are Revolut, they said I can check number at the back of the card. Wanted to confirm my last transaction - if I shared information they would be able to possibly attempt access recovery on my account. The caller number can be easily spoofed. SCAM Presented themselves as an online competition for a DELL laptop through The Warehouse New Zealand. They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. The bank transaction shows as Highgames.Online and the number +44753717396 4691792... which the first part I thought might be a UK phone number, hence my post here. This was an unsolicited number offering loft insulation. I think it’s a recent illegal sales pitch.

Obviously yet just another tedious no hoper trying to scam the vulnerable with all the brinkmanship, skill and dexterity of a toddler with a plastic sword. If this is the level our scammers are currently operating at, then we genuinely have very little to fear.

This is a scam number. Claimed to be from BT Internet, ringing about other devices being connected to my BT Hub. (Rang off when asked why they thought other devices were being used without permission.)

The second one today from the same stable - only the 2 digits at the end are different. Both calls from Manchester. There have been a few today - getting fed up with these scammers ringing constantly. They must be getting very strapped for cash to keep trying to defraud 'unsuspecting' people!! Well, we are on to them and so are the Police! We must get them stopped and prosecuted. REPORT, REPORT, REPORT!

I was called from this number this morning claiming to be from my bank. It was a recorded message and not a ‘live’ caller. I was informed there were two suspect transactions from my account and, if they weren’t from me, I should press 1 on my keypad. I hung up immediately, checked my bank account and saw that the transactions didn’t exist so I assume that this was an attempted scam.

please be aware of this spam. They said I had ordered a removal van and were calling to arrange one for me. It ties into several hoax calls I received last week as all the callers were sub Asians.

Very persistent - when I told them I didn't know my postcode they called back the following night. Even provided me with a (mobile!) number I could call to check that they really were Vodafone.
