Definitely a scam, tried to inquire about something to do with housing and when I explained this was a work number, became very rude and argumentative. Background noise was like a call centre, with lots of people talking.

I got a call from "John", he was from (he paused to remember who he was) Virgin Media. I hung up,

SPAM A very quick internet browse told me that this was a spam call and so it proved. Don't even know what it was they were trying to sell, offer, advertise or what but the caller didn't even sound sure of what he wanted to tell me! Just told them where to go.

SCAM - just called me at 11pm UK time, from a number I do not recognise on a number that I *do not* give out to anyone!!

Had a text from this number stated it was from Evri, re a delivery on checking they wanted a fee to re deliver an unknown item.

Called by these people offering a free loft roof space check, assured no money involved but if anything detected we would have two years to decide. Loft space checked and said to be in poor state for mould and decay of boards, told it would cost £8k to fix but if we went onto the express service it would be £6,400 but we had to book in right away. We asked for time to think about it and he then appeared to call a colleague who agreed to lower price to £6k but we must firm immediately. We declined.

I have no recollection of this telephone call, but it appears on my bill as 7.52mins at a premium charge of £9.261

SCAM!! A female with an Asian accent. Asked to speak to Mr XXXX (if you are going to scam someone at least get their gender right). Asking if I could secure whether I had any unsecured debt. I had a bit of spare time so I turned the conversation upside down and started grilling her. She allegedly got my details from GRS which she said was a government agency. Robin called. Sounded foreign. Said he was calling from the call blocking and scam department. When I asked what company he was calling from he said "the national call blocking company limited" i said there was no such thing. Curious how this was 24 hours after "microsoft" called me and I told them I didn't believe them..... Told him the only legit call blocking was The Telephone Preference Service, and he hung up.

Debt collector, I think this is a check up call from Oxford TV licencing Enforcement Division to check if someone aged over 75 and still forced to buy a licence is still alive, The caller asks for you by name and when you say yes they make some excuse about not being able to hear properly saying they will call back later.
