This number which is a Glasgow code, called and an indistinct, mumbled young female voice asked for me by name, said she was phoning from another mumbled company and had I had any accidents in my car in the last few years. I said no, and she said oh well then and hung up. Some kind of scam with bad line and mumbled names part of the act.

They are pretending to be the government saying you have debts you pay each month because they know everything about you, to start paying them all the money you pay. This is a scam do not give out details of anything the government would never ring you to do this. Please be safe

Trying to make me claim for injuries in a car accident. My car was parked and no-one was in it so how the hell do I claim injury compensation for that. Bloody nuisance!

keep getting calls from 01457833744 and other glossop numbers . we have no contacts there and we just dont answer
Claimed to be Amazon, saying I’d bought a gift card for £49.99 and they wanted to check this was correct, and if it wasn’t did I want to cancel the order. I said it wasn’t me and I’d like to cancel (but was already suspicious - who buys a gift card for £49.99, rather than £50?!), then they started asking about which device I’d like the refund processed via. When I asked more questions about my concerns that this was a scam call they hung up.
