This bunch of clowns called me this evening "automated call referencing" about a vehicle accident I have been in recently - why can't OFCOM stop this sort of thin...

Call on home landline at 8am asking if I d been involved in an accident in the last 3 years. I hung up.

Claims to be British Gas. When challenged was hesitant and slightly aggressive. Didn t bother with caller further - he didn t know my name or who my supplier was. Suspect it was some kind of scam.

Called twice today, 2nd time answered: asked for my partner by name & claimed to be from People's Energy who are our energy supplier and are based in Edinburgh so that matches the area code (0131). My partner wasn't happy to confirm security information for an unsolicited call though and they were happy to end the call requesting we call them. Recorded message say someone is using my National Insurance number?

I said "yes, I had lots of accidents. which one specifically are you referring to? Which date? Which car?" He could not give me the details. I told him it was strange that he had my name and phone number but no details of my accident. I suggested that his records were in fact just a telephone directory. He hung up.

Phone only rang a couple of times and before I could get to it they hung up. No idea who they were.

I had a text this morning saying my T-Mobile contract is up for renewal asking me to call this number. Obviously didn t, then had a call from them which I ignored. Problem is, I renewed by T-Mobile contract with EE two months ago. Doh.

i have has several calls a day in the last couple of weeks from this "company" asking for someone ive never heard of,my landline is ex directory,when told this they say its the number they have been given for contact by this person,ive told them they are wrong,go check the address they have for this person,then check the electoral role for who lives at my address,,they replied with"we have no address for the client as it was done online,,what utter rubbish,ive had enough and im losing patience

Got the same call last week at the same time, a woman asking me about the car accident I d had... I told her I was disabled and couldn t drive a car and that she should be ashamed of herself..obviously doesn t bother them! Do they actually get any business from these calls??

they rang several times a day wanting my name and address asked who they were would not tell me anything unless I gave my details also they said they had sent me a letter? Very rude!! Rung back the number to see if I could get a name something like tellows. searched number found there a deb. t collection company . I don t owe anyone money
