HRMC SCAM
Received call 13.02.21 from someone claiming to be from BT. Said there had been an issue reported regarding the router and it would be disconnected. Played along for a while to try and get more info. Asked for the name of the manager so I could check the call was genuine. After several attempts they gave a name of Shaun Williams! Caller was foreign. Definitely a scam. BT are not my internet service provider! It is not their router! How would they know if there was a problem with my router! Reported to BT
This person is a serial scammer and fraudster who responds to wanted ads placed on Gumtree. Usually uses the main identity of Marlon on Gumtree, but sometimes uses his alleged daughters details: Zara Hussain. They then provide pictures of items for sale in a response to your ads, eventuay agree a price, provide fake identity details and asks for a deposit and the items will be posted by them. SCAM / SPAM Received a call on my mobile. Apparently (according to the recorded message, not a real person talking) there is a warrant registered with HMRC against my name for fraud, and if I don't press 1 to connect to an operator, I will be arrested shortly. Caller didn t introduce herself. Said I had been in a non-fault accident. Said that was incorrect so she said very in a very morose tone that I d be removed from database and hung up on me. Asked where she was calling from and she wouldn t answer nor would she say how she got my number. She didn t even know my name so how she thought I was in an accident I don t know.
